Clinical & Spiritual Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a Powerful Tool for Natural Healing

Hypnosis is a completely natural altered state of awareness that we all experience, when we focus our attention on one thing to the complete exclusion of everything else.

Modern clinical hypnosis is a safe and effective way of bringing about personal change. Whether it is to stop smoking, manage weight, boost confidence or deal with a fear of phobia, hypnosis helps make the changes in the client’s life.

Today more than at any other time people are seeking safe, natural, but effective treatments for their problems, and hypnosis is a natural response of the mind and body that can be induced deliberately.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to help provide therapeutic benefits. It is typically used in the treatment of emotional and psychological disorders, unwanted habits and undesirable feelings. Any time someone becomes totally absorbed in something like watching a film, reading a good book or simply day dreaming, they have slipped into a natural state of hypnosis.

Hypnosis helps the client reach a trance like state in a relaxed manner, in order that the unconscious mind may be accessed – and the term hypnosis is used to describe this mental state, which is deliberately induced by the trained hypnotherapist.

In hypnotherapy, the client is guided safely and gently into hypnosis by the hypnotherapist purely to unlock and release potential therapeutic benefits available through accessing their own unconscious mind. The trained hypnotherapist will always do this in a professional manner ensuring the client remains aware, in total control and has complete memory recall. Trance is another term that has become synonymous with hypnosis and many hypnotherapists use this expression in place of hypnosis.

In my practice, I utilise a wide range of techniques – along with hypnotherapy – including Gestalt therapy, NLP, dependent on individual client needs. I also offer Parts Integration Therapy (few therapists are skilled in this technique). Because hypnotherapy aims to re-programme patterns of behaviour within the mind, enabling irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be overcome, I have been able to utilise it with good effect in PLR (past life regression). I also offer as well as EFT in my clinical practice. For the client, the benefits of hypnotherapy produce life-changing effects. The process of hypnotherapy assists in unlocking suppressed information, which is not consciously accessible anymore. It must be noted that hypnosis requires 100% trust in the therapist, in order to be successful. There has been a growth in the appearance of professional associations approving hypnotherapy practice over the last 60 years – and as the British Psychological Society stated in 2001, ‘Hypnosis is a valid subject for scientific study and research and a proven therapeutic medium’. By responding to suggestions offered to the subconscious whilst in a trance state, the client accepts and implements the changes. The essential thing is that the client wants to change some behavioural habit or addiction and achieve a successful outcome.
