GLP-1 Agonists and Alzheimer’s Disease: A Comprehensive Review of the Evidence
GLP 1 receptor agonists—such as semaglutide, liraglutide, and dulaglutide—are diabetes and weight-loss medications now under investigation for Alzheimer’s disease due to their neuroprotective actions in preclinical models, including reductions in amyloid and tau pathology, inflammation, and brain cell death.
